Houston Public Media
As an undergraduate at the University of Houston, I was an intern for HoustonPBS. Two years later, I became the station’s graphic designer. Logo design and e-mail marketing design were my primary job duties at HoustonPBS. In 2011, HoustonPBS merged with KUHF 88.7 FM and Classical 91.7 FM to become Houston Public Media. After the merge, I became the principal designer for all three stations. I designed digital and print graphics for all membership campaigns; created logos and still graphics for on-air shows; event signage; and social-media graphics. My passion for public media and the University of Houston drove me to wear many hats during my time at the station. I volunteered to answer telephones during on-air pledge drives and helped produce in-person events such as Community Cinema and The Moth.
